President Donald Trump on Friday said he's canceling all executive orders signed by his predecessor via the autopen.

"Any document signed by Sleepy Joe Biden with the Autopen, which was approximately 92% of them, is hereby terminated, and of no further force or effect," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "The Autopen is not allowed to be used if approval is not specifically given by the President of the United States."

Trump pointed to Democrats in Biden’s inner circle who he said "took the presidency away” from Biden by using the autopen. Biden’s aides usurped presidential authority to sign off on documents and orders at the resolute desk in the Oval Office, according to Trump.

While Trump said that Biden wasn’t involved in the autopen process, he warned that Biden will face perjury charges if he says he was.

NTD reached out to Kelly Scully, Biden's spokesperson, seeking a statement on Trump's comments but did not receive a response by publication time.

Biden has denied that he was unaware of his administration’s actions and has also dismissed speculation about his mental decline.

“Let me be clear: I made the decisions during my presidency,” Biden said in a statement over the summer. “I made the decisions about the pardons, executive orders, legislation, and proclamations. Any suggestion that I didn’t is ridiculous and false.”

Trump earlier this year ordered an investigation into allegations about use of the autopen during Biden’s presidency.
He wrote in a June 2025 memorandum to Attorney General Pam Bondi that it was becoming increasingly apparent that Biden’s aides abused the power of presidential authority and used the autopen to conceal Biden’s cognitive decline.
“The American public was purposefully shielded from discovering who wielded the executive power, all while Biden’s signature was deployed across thousands of documents to effect radical policy shifts,” Trump wrote in the memo.
In October, the House Oversight Committee released a report on its investigation into the matter. The report was based on 14 depositions and transcribed interviews with key Biden aides.

“Our report reveals how key aides colluded to mislead the public and the extraordinary measures they took to sustain the appearance of presidential authority as Biden’s capacity to function independently diminished,” Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) said in a statement at the time of the report’s release. “Executive actions performed by Biden White House staff and signed by autopen are null and void.”

After it released the findings, the House panel requested the DOJ probe the matter further. It specifically called for key Biden aides to be scrutinized, naming Dr. Kevin O’Connor, Annie Tomasini, and Anthony Bernal, who pleaded the Fifth Amendment during its investigation.

The autopen is a mechanical device that replicates an individual’s authentic signature. Originally used by politicians and celebrities to handle large numbers of signatures, such as for fan mail and routine documents, the autopen has also been utilized by presidents to sign legislation, pardons, and other official papers, particularly when they are not available onsite.
