President Donald Trump has revealed plans to host a Fourth of July rally in the nation’s capital dubbed “Tribute to America.”

Trump said on social media Monday that it will be a major celebration to “honor our Country's People, Spirit, Strength, Resolve, and Triumphs” at the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument.

The event, which will kick off at 7 p.m. ET, will include the “LARGEST FIREWORKS SHOW IN HISTORY” and sweeping displays of the U.S. military, according to Trump.

“There will be incredible Flyovers and Airshows featuring our Top Military Pilots and Equipment, and I will deliver keynote remarks that you will not want to miss,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

More than 300 members of military bands, orchestras and ceremonial units will perform patriotic songs and American classics, the president added.

Trump noted that the Fourth of July event would be staged against the backdrop of the Lincoln Memorial and the recently renovated Reflecting Pool, a project in which he took a personal interest.

Trump also teased his own personally curated playlist for the event, saying: “We will have none of those people that put you to sleep and constantly complain!” The comment was likely a jab at the artists who canceled their appearances for the Freedom 250 concert music series. Bret Michaels, Martina McBride, The Commodores, and Milli Vanilli were among the performers who canceled their scheduled appearances, saying they felt they had been misinformed about the Freedom 250's theme and wanted to steer clear of any perceived political associations.

Trump’s Fourth of July tribute will culminate a summer-long series of events tied to the 250th anniversary of American independence.

In 2016, Congress established the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission—commonly branded as America250—as a bipartisan, nonpartisan body to plan and coordinate the nation's 250th-anniversary commemoration. Trump later created the White House Task Force 250 by executive order, and the Trump administration's Freedom 250 initiative began organizing additional anniversary events and fundraising efforts.

This year’s rally and fireworks display resemble Trump's “Salute to America” event held on July 4, 2019, in Washington, which featured a presidential speech at the Lincoln Memorial along with military demonstrations and aircraft flyovers.

Trump’s plans to host the Fourth of July event in the nation’s capital follow his attendance at the first-ever martial arts fights held on the White House South Lawn dubbed "UFC Freedom 250," a seven-fight series by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), which coincided with Flag Day and his 80th birthday.
