Trump will celebrate 100 days in office on Saturday.

Using the power of executive actions, he has rolled back regulations, beefed up border security and cracked down on illegal immigration. He also called for a swifter plan to defeat ISIS, targeted organized crime and foreign trade abuses, and promoted American-made goods. He froze federal hiring and called for the elimination of “unnecessary” federal agencies.

“I think his biggest achievement, the one that historians will remember years from now, is the nomination and the confirmation by the Senate of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court. That was an excellent choice for a Justice and it replaces Scalia’s seat and fulfills an important campaign promise. I think on the whole he’s had the most success in areas where he’s exercising his executive power so on executive orders with regulation, and on immigration,” said David Azerrad, Director of the B. Kenneth Simon Center for Principles and Politics of the Heritage Foundation.

On the foreign policy front, the president has also made some big decisions.

He has taken a stronger approach with North Korea. He also ordered missile strikes on an Syrian air base after the Syrian government used nerve gas on its citizens.

“I don’t think he’s gotten enough credit on this front, that his foreign policy has basically sent a message to the world, that America’s back, and that when America draws a red line, it enforces a red line. And we should also remember that Syria is connected to Iran, also therefore to North Korea, and this sends a very strong signal to America’s enemies that the Obama-era of retrenchment is over,” said Azerrad.

President Trump is still working on a health care overhaul, a major tax reform, infrastructure reform, negotiation of U.S. trade deals, and the construction of a U.S.-Mexico border wall.

“I think that if President Trump is successful in his agenda, it will be very good for the American people, that if the immigration is–we get control over our borders, and there’s a sense that laws matter in America and they’re enforced, if he manages to do tax reform to get the economy growing again, maybe up to 3% again,” said Azerrad.
