Thomas Speciale, former senior adviser to the director of national intelligence for the National Counterintelligence and Security Center, and Ricoh Danielson, U.S. Army combat veteran and national security expert, joined a panel discussion with NTD.

Speciale and Danielson returned for the second part of the panel discussion to discuss Ukraine’s offer of its anti-drone expertise to the United States’ Operation Epic Fury. Danielson said the offer will come with a cost, and that the United States can adopt the Ukrainian technology and security from an autonomous robotic perspective to put the United States and Israel at the cutting edge of the new battlefield. Speciale said the fact that the Iranian regime is being decapitated will have a profound effect on Russia’s ability to wage war against Ukraine, because Iran was the principal sponsor of their one-way attack drones, and that Ukraine stepping up to assist is good for the world.

Speciale and Danielson also discussed the importance of support from allies in the region and beyond to show collaboration.
