Economic dialogue between the United States and China has resumed for the first time since 2018. That was the year former President Donald Trump imposed tariffs on billions of dollars’ worth of Chinese imports.

The U.S. Treasury Department on Friday announced two new working groups aimed at exchanging economic and financial policies with communist China.

The two groups will meet on a regular basis, and all discussions will be reported directly back to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and her Chinese counterpart.
