US, Israel air forces conduct joint training ahead of Trump visit

Fighter jets from the U.S. and Israeli air forces held joint training May 21.

Called Juniper Falcon, the exercise simulated various combat scenarios. The training is done deep in the uninhabited Israeli desert.

The exercises make cooperation easier should a combat situation arise.

The United States and Israeli commanders said each side learned from the other.

Juniper Falcon is an annual exercise. It is not related the President Trump’s impending visit.
