Vice President Mike Pence hosted a Cinco de Mayo reception in the Indian Treaty Room of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building on May 4, where he praised the contribution of Hispanic-Americans.

He started in Spanish, “Buenos tardes a todos, y feliz casi Cinco de Mayo,” then thanks Hispanics for all they have done for America.

“The truth is that Mexican Americans and Hispanic-Americans as a whole make a difference in America every single day. And that really is what we celebrate in Cinco de Mayo,” he said.
