A wildfire burned hundreds of acres in Miami-Dade County, Florida over the weekend. WSVN-TV in Miami reports that the fire burned 670 acres (270 hectares), most of it undeveloped grassland. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue says large amounts of smoke made the fire especially dangerous. Residents near the fire were urged to keep their doors and windows closed. The fire also forced authorities to temporarily close some local streets.
