World’s largest Piña Colada is unveiled

150 bottles of rum, 100 cans of pineapple juice, 100 cans of coconut milk, and buckets of ice cubes.

It takes all that and a cement mixer to make the world’s largest Pina Colada.

It’s to celebrate National Pina Colada Day on July 10th.

Pina Colada, or “strained pineapple” in English, is Puerto Rico’s national drink.

“We use cream coco and pineapple juice and you can either stir it, shake it,” Sammy Musovic, owner of Selena Rosa said. “Or you can bring a blender which is the authentic way to do it here especially in summer time with this hot weather.”

This restaurant in the upper east side of Manhattan is giving it away for free, comforting 5,000 patrons and commuters during the “Summer of Hell,” as the Amtrack repairs at Penn Station goes into effect on July 1 through September 10, 2017.
