Sen. Cruz Presses Top Prison Official on Sexual Assaults by Biological Males in Female Prisons

At Wednesday’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on “Oversight of the Federal Bureau of Prisons,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) grilled Colette Peters, Director of the Federal Bureau of Prisons, over the number of biological males currently housed in female prisons across the United States. Mr. Cruz also demanded to know how many female inmates had been sexually assaulted by biological males incarcerated in the female prison system.
