Anna Clara de Souza Rocha, a Brazilian social media influencer, died June 21 after losing control of her vehicle and flipping it in Volta Redonda, a municipality in Rio de Janeiro state. The 27-year-old built a following of more than 32,000 people on Instagram by teaching others how to thrive in the digital content world.
According to local Brazilian news outlet g1, de Souza Rocha was driving in Volta Redonda when she lost control of her vehicle, which overturned. Fire services responded to the scene and pulled her from the wreck. She was transported to São João Batista Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Just days before the crash, de Souza Rocha had been active online. According to her Instagram account, her last post came on June 16—a video offering fellow creators ideas for social media content, the kind of practical, encouraging guidance she had become known for.

Beyond her Instagram presence, de Souza Rocha ran a website where she sold online courses focused on content creation and social media strategy, positioning herself not just as a personality but as a mentor to aspiring influencers.

“I help women who want to make a living from social media to achieve freedom and financial, creative, and professional independence,” her website reads. “My purpose is to show you that it's possible to grow, live well, and be valued by being yourself.”

Her death drew an outpouring of grief online. In the comments section of her final Instagram post, fans and fellow creators left tributes. "We're here not believing you're gone. So beautiful, fulfilling her dreams, full of life that excited us with her stories," one follower wrote. Another simply said: "Crazy you're gone so early."

Fellow influencer Aline Brum also paid tribute, writing: "My dear, I will always be your admirer. May God comfort the heart of your family, who you made such a point of praising. I'm so sorry for your untimely departure. Shine from heaven."
According to g1, de Souza Rocha's family held a wake and burial service in Volta Redonda. A video shared to Instagram from the ceremony showed dozens of mourners gathering to say goodbye.
Her death comes roughly two years after another Brazilian influencer, Amanda dos Santos Barbosa, 24, was killed in a similarly tragic incident. According to Brazilian newspaper O Povo, dos Santos Barbosa died on Oct. 10, 2024, after falling from the sunroof of a moving car while filming a selfie video in the Bancários neighborhood of João Pessoa, Brazil.
According to local news outlet ODemocrata, dos Santos Barbosa had climbed through the sunroof of the vehicle—in which she was riding with friends after a night out—to pose for a video. CCTV footage captured around 12:16 a.m. showed her losing her balance and tumbling onto the road, where she was struck by an oncoming vehicle. She was rushed to the Emergency and Trauma Hospital in João Pessoa but did not survive.
