Trigg Kiser, the 3-year-old son of social media influencer Emilie Kiser, died Sunday after spending nearly a week hospitalized following a backyard pool incident, according to the Chandler Police Department. The child was pulled from a pool at an Arizona home on Ashley Drive on May 12 and had remained in critical condition until his passing, authorities said.

Just before 6 p.m. on May 12, Chandler police officers responded to a report of a possible drowning at a residential property, the police department told NTD in an initial report last week.

Officers arrived on the scene first and immediately began performing CPR on the unresponsive child. Firefighters soon took over lifesaving efforts before Trigg was transported to Chandler Regional Medical Center, and later transferred to Phoenix Children’s Hospital, where he remained in critical condition for six days.

On Sunday afternoon, Chandler Police Department spokesperson Sonu Wasu confirmed that Trigg Kiser had died in the hospital.

“The Chandler Police Department regrets to report that the child who had been hospitalized since the drowning call on Ashley Drive on May 12 passed away earlier this afternoon. The child has been identified as 3-year-old Trigg Kiser,” Wasu said in a statement. “Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the child’s family and loved ones during this unimaginable time.”

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident remains ongoing, according to police.

“This is still an open investigation. Out of respect for the family’s privacy, we will not be releasing additional details until the investigation is closed,” Wasu said.

Trigg was the eldest son of Emilie Kiser, a 26-year-old influencer known for her mom-and-wife lifestyle content. She has nearly 3.4 million followers on TikTok, over 1 million on Instagram, and over 135,000 on YouTube.

Emilie and her husband, Brady Kiser, welcomed their second child, Theodore, in March. Trigg would have celebrated his fourth birthday on July 14, according to posts on Emilie Kiser’s Instagram page.
Following news of Trigg’s death, an outpouring of support and condolences flooded Emilie Kiser’s social media accounts, according to comments on a recent Instagram post.

One follower wrote, “have never been more heartbroken for someone I’ve never met- you’re in our thoughts and prayers. stay strong.”

Others expressed their heartbreak and admiration for the family, with one saying: “I watched him live the happiest, fullest life filled with endless love and amazing parents. Heartbroken, my heart and prayers with you forever.”

Another supporter added: “You and Brady are such amazing, loving parents, and people. Thank you for sharing your life and family with us, I hope you all can heal privately together but know so many of us are thinking of you, and love you.”

As of Monday, Emilie Kiser had not released a public statement about her son’s death.

Drowning remains the leading cause of death for children ages 1 to 4, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), with approximately 4,000 drowning deaths reported each year.
