As the past few months have shown us, being prepared for an emergency is important.
After 2 hurricanes battered the south, millions of people found themselves in locations where the necessities of life were threatened. Buying food and water became either a challenge or, in some places, completely impossible. Electricity, the internet, and gas pipelines were knocked out.
At the same time, the roads were battered to such a degree that some people weren’t able to leave their homes at all.
Of course, even if you happen to live outside of a normal storm path area, there are still very good reasons to be prepared for shortages. For instance, several weeks ago, the port workers union went on strike along the East Coast. Luckily, that strike was quickly resolved, but if it hadn’t been, it would’ve only taken a week or so for supermarket shelves to empty.
There are many different possible emergencies to prepare for.
And so today, let’s go through the eight must-have essentials that you need when putting together a survival kit.
