A major trade deal has been reached between two U.S. allies—Australia and the European Union. It removes tariffs on almost all European goods entering Australia—and on nearly all Australian critical mineral exports to the European Union.
Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission said: “Getting China right is a strategic imperative. That’s why bringing our critical minerals partnership to life will be crucial to our success. We cannot be overly dependent on any one supplier for such essential resources—and that is precisely why we need each other.”
