Police were alerted after another discovery of human remains in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in less than a week. It follows the discovery of a human leg inside a Milwaukee area park last week.

Police were called to the scene on April 5 at around 10 p.m. The Sheriff’s office later confirmed to Fox News that human body parts were discovered in an area neighborhood of the city. This was followed by a further discovery of human remains just after 6 p.m. the next day, a few blocks away.

Police cordoned off the area pending the medical examiners’ investigation, as reported by Fox.

“It’s just shocking. What is really going on over here? This neighborhood is supposed to be peaceful,” Priscilla Bryant, a local resident, told the outlet.

There has been speculation that the remains could belong to a 19-year-old woman, Sade Robinson, who was last seen on April 1. Her family had been searching for her since.

Relatives of the woman said they found her blanket in a woodland area near the park, Fox reported. The blanket reportedly had her face printed on it.

“When we came to look for her, we didn’t come looking for body parts. We were just coming to look for her, yelling her name. We hear about the body part and there’s a little less hope,” her cousin told local media outlet TMJ4.

Further reports by the family revealed that the young woman’s car was found torched a day after her disappearance in the same neighborhood. Her mother was the last to hear from her when she received a text message asking to borrow $15, which her mother said was very unusual.

The combined incidents mark the third time human remains were discovered since the afternoon of April 2 at Warnimont Park in Cudahy. According to officials, the human leg was reportedly found either in or near the water by Lake Michigan, east of the golf course by the pump house, per Fox News.

According to previous reports by James Burnett, acting Chief of Staff with the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office, the discovery of the severed leg is being treated as a homicide, and police are currently questioning a person of interest in the case, but no charges have been filed as of yet.

Police have positively identified the severed leg as human, however, no additional information as to who it belongs to or its origins, has been disclosed in order to avoid any disruptions to the ongoing investigation.

It remains unclear if any of the discovered body parts belong to the same person or if the remains belong to Ms. Robinson. Police have issued a “critical missing alert” for the young woman.
