Bullet injures man after shooting armadillo

A Marietta, Texas man opened fire on an armadillo and was injured when the bullet ricocheted off the hard shell of the animal and struck him in the face. Local television station, KLTV reported that the incident occurred around 3 a.m. local time. Larry Rowe, Cass County Sheriff said the man retrieved his gun and started shooting at the armadillo when he first saw the animal roaming in his yard. A bullet sheered a part of the armadillo’s shell and hit the man in the jaw.
