China is tightening restrictions on flying unmanned drones in Beijing.
The country passed new regulations last Friday stating that, starting in May, people will need approval before flying any unmanned drone outdoors in Beijing.
In addition, all drone owners in Beijing must register their real names with authorities in a month. They are also required to report where their drones are stored.
Meanwhile, the regime is limiting the number of drones stored within 12 miles of the center of Beijing.
A military expert told NTD that it might have to do with ensuring Chinese leader Xi Jinping's safety given drones are now widely used in warfare.
