Cocoa Prices at All-Time High Ahead of Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is approaching, and while 92 percent of Americans plan to share chocolate and candy with their loved ones, there’s some bad news for chocolate lovers, as cocoa prices have more than doubled in the past year. The cost of cocoa, a key ingredient in chocolate, has risen by 40 percent since January to hit record highs due to shortages caused by extreme weather in West Africa.
