A budget coffeemaker sold on Amazon, Walmart, and eBay has been recalled by federal safety regulators after more than 100 reports of the machines suddenly releasing scalding hot liquid or steam.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced June 11 a recall of about 17,600 Kidisle-brand single-serve coffeemakers after receiving at least 107 reports of the machines discharging hot liquid or steam without warning. At least 27 people were injured, including some who suffered first and second-degree burns that required medical treatment.

The recalled model—KC101B—is a compact machine designed in black, white, and gray, standing about 11 inches tall and 6 inches wide. It features a detachable 50-ounce water tank and can brew between 6 and 14 ounces of cupped or ground coffee.

According to the CPSC, the machines can become clogged internally, causing hot liquid or steam to build up and suddenly discharge during use. The coffeemakers were sold through Amazon.com, Walmart.com, and eBay.com between June 2024 and April 2026 for approximately $49. The product was manufactured in China and imported by the Chinese company Kidisle.

Consumers who own the Kidisle KC101B are urged to stop using it immediately. To receive a full refund, owners must unplug the machine, cut the power cord, write "Recalled" on the appliance with a permanent marker, and email a photo of the destroyed unit, with the model number and severed cord visible, to [email protected]. The recall is listed under CPSC recall number 26-557.

Second Appliance Also Pulled

The Kidisle recall follows a similar action last month involving a higher-end kitchen product. On May 14, the CPSC announced a recall of approximately 113,440 ZWILLING J.A. Henckels Enfinigy electric kettles in the United States—along with roughly 43,963 units in Canada and about 48 in Mexico—after the company received 163 reports of the kettle's handle separating or loosening. Five of those reports involved incidents, including one confirmed second-degree burn.

The recall covers the 1.5-liter Enfinigy Kettle and Enfinigy Kettle Pro, sold in black, silver, rose, gold, and pure white, at HomeGoods stores and on zwilling.com from December 2019 through February 2026 for between $120 and $200. The kettles were manufactured in China by ZWILLING J.A. Henckels Aktiengesellschaft and distributed in the United States by ZWILLING J.A. Henckels, LLC, of Pleasantville, New York.

Consumers are urged to stop using the kettle immediately. To claim a full refund, U.S. customers are instructed to visit www.zwilling.com/kettle-recall, where they will be asked to unplug the appliance, cut the power cord, and upload a photo of the product before safely tossing it out.
