“Counting On” star Jessa Seewald just welcomed her third child with husband Ben Seewald into the world—this time, a baby girl.
On Sunday, May 26, the couple welcomed Ivy Jane Seewald, weighing 7 pounds and 14 ounces and measuring 20.5 inches long, according to Us Weekly, which broke the news.
“She feels so tiny compared to her siblings!” the couple wrote in their family blog. They went on to explain that their sons Spurgeon, 3, and Henry 2, were born weighing nearly 10 pounds and 9 pounds, respectively.

The couple shared the first photo of their baby girl on Instagram.
“We’re so grateful to God for this precious gift,” they added. “She is already so loved. Her big brothers adore her!”
The couple also shared that they were surprised by how early Ivy Jane arrived, as her due date wasn’t until June 5. Both her brothers, Spurgeon and Henry were late, so the couple was sure Ivy Jane would be as well.
A week ago, Jessa Seewald posted an updated baby bump photo on Instagram, and captioned it with #BabySeewald3 will be 38 weeks tomorrow!”
“I honestly can’t believe it. It seems like this pregnancy has flown by!” she added. “Can anybody else attest to that fact that when you have toddler or two keeping you on your toes, pregnancy just seems to fly by??”
It seems Ivy Jane is full of surprises from the start, as the Seewalds were guessing they would have a boy.
“From the day we found out we were expecting, we both guessed boy, and if our predictions are right then we already have a ton the clothing and accessories ready to pass down!” they previously told Us Weekly.
However, they also said “we would absolutely love it if we found out we were having a girl—though we’ve joked that we’d be starting from square one and might have to learn a few things.”
The couple, who star on TLC’s reality show “Counting On,” was married in November 2014, according to Page Six. Their first son, Spurgeon, followed about a year later.
In July last year, Jessa Seewald said: “I definitely have baby fever,” after meeting her new niece Felicity, according to Us Weekly.

As they thought about expanding their family, the couple considered many options. “The desire to adopt or possibly foster is one that continues to weigh heavily in our hearts,” Jessa Seewald said at the time.
However, the couple put their adoption plans on hold when they learned they were expecting again.
Ben Seewald said in their family blog that while Spurgeon understands there’s a baby coming, Henry is still clueless. “Seeing our boys meet their new sibling for the first time is something we are really looking forward to!” he said.
Recently, Jessa Seewald also shared on Instagram that “Watching Spurgeon anticipate the arrival of his new sibling has got to be one of the sweetest parts of this pregnancy.”
She added, “Henry will pat my belly sometimes and say ‘Baby!’ because he sees us do that, but I don’t think he truly comprehends what’s about to take place.”
