The Center for a New American Security (CNAS) will host Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.) on Thursday for a moderated discussion and question & answer session on spyware and security.
Recent reports have warned that these sophisticated tools are likely being used to target journalists, activists, and government officials, including U.S. personnel serving overseas.
Following the conversation, Himes will join Steven Feldstein, Democracy, Conflict, and Governance Program Senior Fellow at Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and Christopher Porter, Head of Threat Intelligence at Google Cloud, for a panel discussion on the topic. Alexandra Seymour, Associate Fellow for the Technology and National Security program at CNAS will moderate the fireside and panel.
