This video is a shortened version of the documentary “Behind the Bump: A Birth Mother’s Story.” The award-winning film follows the journey of an unplanned pregnancy that turns into a successful open adoption.
Created by Madison Galloway and Melissa Link at Loras College in 2016, the documentary has received several awards, including:
- Crystal Pillar Award from the Upper Midwest Emmy® Chapter (March 2017)
- 1st Place in Documentary at the Eric Sevareid Awards (March 2017)
- 1st Place in Public Affairs from the Iowa Broadcast News Association (April 2017)
- 1st Place in Best Long Documentary at the Iowa College Media Association Awards (February 2018)
