Fans took to social media to react to the news that “Dog the Bounty Hunter” star Beth Chapman had passed away.

On the morning of June 26, Beth Chapman’s husband, Duane “Dog” Chapman, shared on Twitter: “It’s 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain. Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side.”

Over the weekend, Beth Chapman was placed into a medically-induced coma amidst battling lung cancer.

She was first diagnosed with cancer in 2017.

“We are deeply saddened by the tragic news that @MrsdogC lost her battle with cancer today. She was an exceptional woman, all of us at #WGNAmerica will miss her tremendously,” WGN America wrote on Twitter. “Our thoughts and prayers are with @DogBountyHunter, her family, loved ones and millions of fans.”

The first unscripted series on WGN America in over five years, “Dog’s Most Wanted” is a 10-part series that follows Dog and Chapman, as well as his elite team of professionals—The Dirty Dozen—as they hunt down criminals who appear on FBI, U.S. Marshals’, and states’ Most Wanted Fugitives lists throughout the country to bring them to justice, according to popculture.com.

WGN America also paid tribute to Beth Chapman’s memory in a special video on Twitter.

“We love and adored the woman she was. We loved how she loved Duane and took care of and held the family together,” one person wrote on Twitter. “The world’s light is going to be a little bit dimmer with out her here, but the Angel she has become will illuminate the heavens for ever. Rest in God’s loving care.”

“Dog this is so sad about Bethy. I have been crying over her passing,” one person commented.” I will be praying for the Chapman’s every day. You know Bethy will be with you everyday and night looking over you all. She will be sadly missed. Fly high Bethy. Sending lots of love and hugs.”

Another commented, “Dear Chapman family. We are mourning with you. Beth was a beautiful soul inside and out and her energy and love for her family will truly be missed. I trust she’s in a better place painless and full of life. I will keep you all in my prayers today and always. RIP BETH.”

“RIP Beth. Duane I am so sorry to hear of Beth’s passing. She was an amazing awesome woman,” another person wrote. “God got another angel in heaven. You will be missed dearly Beth. Duane, I will pray for your family in this sad time sir. Stay strong buddy!!!!”
