Floyd Roger Myers Jr., a former child actor who portrayed a young Will Smith on "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," died early Wednesday morning at his Maryland home. He was 42.

Myers suffered a fatal heart attack on Oct. 29, according to his IMDB page.
Myers's mother, Renee Trice, spoke with TMZ in an exclusive interview and revealed she had spoken with her son just hours before his death.

The actor had a history of cardiac issues, having experienced three heart attacks over the past three years, Trice told the outlet.

Myers began his acting career as a child performer in the early 1990s. His breakout role came in 1992 when he appeared in a third-season episode of "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," playing a younger version of the show's star, Will Smith. That same year, he took on another important role as young Marlon Jackson in "The Jacksons: An American Dream," a movie chronicling the legendary Jackson family's journey to musical fame.

His final credited television appearance came in 2000 when he guest-starred in an episode of The WB's "Young Americans.”

Beyond acting, Myers dedicated himself to community service and fatherhood. He co-founded The Fellaship Mens Group, an organization designed to empower men to "lead, heal & thrive," according to the group's Instagram page.

The organization paid tribute to their late co-founder in an Oct. 29 post on Instagram, writing, "RIP to our good brother one of our co founders. Gone but never will be forgotten. The mission will continue in your honor."

Myers was a father to four children: Taelyn, Kinsley, Tyler, and Knox.

A GoFundMe campaign was established by his sister, Tyree Trice, to help cover funeral costs and provide support for Myers' children following his unexpected death.

"It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of my beloved brother, Floyd Roger Myers Jr, who tragically left us today after a sudden heart attack," Tyree Trice wrote on the GoFundMe page. "He was a devoted father, loving brother, and friend whose kindness, laughter, and warmth touched everyone he met."

The campaign has raised over $5,400 of a $30,000 goal.

The fundraiser seeks to alleviate the financial strain on the family during this difficult period, with all proceeds directed toward funeral expenses and supporting Myers' children.

Renee Trice also mourned her son’s death in a Facebook post on Wednesday, sharing a photograph of her son with his four children. "THIS NOT SUPPOSE TO BE SO," she wrote.

Myers' funeral service is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 3.

The Fellaship Mens Group indicated in their social media tribute that their next meeting would honor Myers' memory and continue the mission he helped establish.
