Former “Glee” star Lea Michele and fiancé Zandy Reich just got married on Saturday, March 9, according to a new report.

The couple, who have been dating for about two years, tied the knot in “an intimate and romantic ceremony in Northern California on Saturday night,” reported People magazine, which first broke the news.

“We are so excited to be married and grateful to be surrounded by our friends and family,” the couple shared with People magazine. “And most of all, we’re so happy to spend the rest of our lives together.”

For the special occasion, Michele, 32, wore a white strapless dress with a structured sweetheart neckline that blossomed into a voluminous ball gown-style skirt. She completed the look with her hair pulled elegantly back into a sleek chignon, teardrop earrings, and a classic bouquet of what appears to be white roses.

Reich, 36, donned a navy-blue tuxedo with black dress shoes, a black bow tie, and a black watch.

Reich, president of the AYR clothing company, proposed to Michele on April 29, 2018. The actress-singer posted a photo of herself wearing the new ring on Instagram and captioned the post, “Yes.”

Speaking about the engagement, Michele told People magazine, “I think the first thing I said to him was, ‘Stop joking around!’ So I was super surprised. Everyone said, ‘Try to be present because it’ll happen so quickly.’ Which I didn’t listen to at all and blacked out and I barely remember. We both blacked out and were like, ‘What? Did we say yes? Is this happening?'”

At the wedding, the couple celebrated with their family and close friends. Among the wedding guests were Michele’s “Glee” co-stars Becca Tobin, Darren Criss, and Ryan Murphy who officiated the ceremony, according to U.S. Weekly.

The wedding comes a month after Michele had her bachelorette party in Hawaii with “Scream Queens” co-star Emma Roberts, as well as Jamie-Lynn Sigler, JoAnna Garcia Swisher, and other friends.

How They Met

“It’s kind of crazy,” Michele told Insider. “They always say, ‘It will happen when you least expect it. It will happen when you least expect it!’ And I met my fiancé at my best friend’s wedding.”

Michele explained that she was a friend of the bride, TV executive Stephanie Levinson, and Reich was a friend of the groom.

“They had their siblings as their best man and maid of honor, but we were sort of the closest in the friend area, and we sat next to each other,” Michele said.

She added that they didn’t talk right away as, “within a couple of minutes,” her friend interrupted to sit next to her.

“He moved, and I didn’t see him for a little while,” she said. “And then my best friend Stephanie kept being like, ‘You should really hang out with Zandy.'”

The two did end up running into each other quite often as they shared the same friends.

“He was always around and at a lot of these mutual friends’ events,” she said. “It really all happened when I least expected it. It’s a pretty awesome story.”
