Former U.S. Ambassador to New Zealand and former U.S. Senator from Massachusetts, Scott Brown, and senior fellow for Global Risks and the Center for the National Interest, John Sitilides, joined a panel discussion with NTD's Iris Tao.

The panel discussed President Donald Trump’s difficult decision to deploy a dangerous and difficult search and rescue mission to bring home two U.S. airmen from behind enemy lines in Iran.

They also discussed how the operation displayed the morale of the armed forces under President Trump, and the coordinated strikes to suppress threats from Iran, deception tactics to confuse Iranian forces, and the synchronization across all forces to complete the mission.

Trump’s Tuesday deadline for Iran to make a deal was also discussed.

Additional topics discussed included: Secretary of War Pete Hegseth's promise of the largest volume of strikes being conducted on Monday and Tuesday; Trump's threat to bomb Iran’s bridges and power plants; the U.S. interception of messages from the Iranian people asking the U.S. to continue the operation; and the opportunity Iranians have to change their government, and the best and worst case scenarios for the Iranians.
