U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has lodged a detainer against a Haitian illegal alien who allegedly murdered a coworker at his job in late June.
Valmir Djempsley—an illegal alien who was working at a meatpacking plant in Coldwater, Michigan—allegedly got into an argument with 21-year-old Brandon Eduardo Velasquez Chavez, resulting in Djempsley allegedly stabbing Chavez in the back.
Medics and personnel from the Coldwater Fire Department attempted to treat the victim's injuries, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Coldwater Police questioned several witnesses to the incident, who told officers that the victim and Djempsley got into a verbal altercation while working near each other inside the facility. When the argument was over, Djempsley allegedly stabbed Chavez in the back.
Coldwater police officers arrested Djempsley and booked him into the Branch County Jail.
“This illegal alien barbarically stabbed his coworker to death,” said Acting DHS Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis. “This murderer was released into American communities by the Biden Administration. If it weren’t for the reckless open border policies of the Biden Administration, this criminal never would have been in our country in the first place and his victim would still be alive. We have lodged a detainer asking Michigan to not release this dangerous criminal from jail without notifying ICE.”
Triple Murder Suspect
Last month, ICE lodged a detainer against a man accused of killing an infant, the child's mother, and grandmother.According to the Modesto, California Police Department, officers responded to calls of a disturbance at a residence just after 9:20 a.m. on May 28. They discovered a 23-year-old female, a 54-year-old female, and an infant child, all of whom had sustained multiple stab wounds. Both women were pronounced dead at the scene. The infant was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Another child, age 4, was also located and taken to a hospital for evaluation.
Police identified the victims as 23-year-old Fabiola Gonzalez-Nunez and her mother, 54-year-old Maria Sylvia Nunez-Villalobos. Gonzalez-Nunez was the mother of the two-week-old child. The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Joaquin Escoto Vasquez, was in a relationship with Gonzalez-Nunez and lived in the house with the three victims. He was also the father of the uninjured child, who has since been taken into custody by Child Protective Services.
Vasquez was found hiding in a nearby residence and was arrested by police. He was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail on three counts of murder, special circumstance enhancements, using a deadly weapon, and an outstanding Modesto Police Department warrant related to a prior DUI case.
