An officer at a border facility who was seen providing security for Vice President Mike Pence’s visit to the U.S.-Mexico border managed to gain a legion of internet fans who were entranced by her beauty.

The woman started a Twitter account after images of her were getting a lot of attention on social media, the New York Post reported. The account only has a few tweets.

Her photos are trending with the hashtag #IceBae, though it is not clear if she works for ICE or one of the other agencies under the Department of Homeland Security.

The Post said the woman’s name that’s tied to the Twitter account is Kiara Cervantes. It is not clear whether or not she has other social media accounts.

Many social media users commented on the woman’s beauty, while others criticized or showed support for her job as a federal agent enforcing border policy.

Although she just started her Twitter account, it already has more than 46,000 followers.

“Soooo it’s crazy…. but here I am. I’m hearing something about a viral picture. I would like to say i was just doing my job.. providing security for the visit of @VP . It was an honor and I take a lot of pride in my job!” Cervantes tweeted on July 15.

“WOW I am in awe. Thank you all for the support! My job is so hectic at this moment but I am grateful. I love protecting my country! And I love my supporters!” she tweeted on July 16.

The Post article mentioned that Cervantes posted a video to make it clear that she is the same woman in the viral photos.

“Just woke up…saw that I needed to make a video so y’all could believe that it’s me,” the Post reported that Cervantes said in the video. “It’s me — I’m a Customs officer based in Texas and yeah, I don’t know what else to say.”

Cervantes told the Post that she would have to speak to her managers at Customs and Border Protection before she could make a comment.

In the meantime, Cervantes has had to deal with both hateful and appreciative comments in her Twitter mentions.

“Who knew being a concentration camp worker was something to be grateful about,” commented @itsaboveiishe, parroting the view of congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who compared immigrant detention facilities to concentration camps.

“Husband doesnt believe me when I say if we put prettier people in office, more people would pay attention. You are the perfect example! Thank you for your service #IceBae,” commented @LoraLabelLess.

“#IceBae is a latina hero that knows about the factual dangers of letting in illegals. Democrats hate seeing minorities that have escaped their ways of thinking.Thank You for your service @kiarace24,” @TaurenLT.

Other comments include male admirers playfully commenting that they would purposely cross the border illegally to get detained by #IceBae.
