Watch first of the two events here.

CAP Freedom of Conscience, an NGO with Economic and Social Council consultative status at the UN since 2016, and Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting (DAFOH), a Nobel Peace prize nominee advocacy group, are co-organizing two consecutive virtual side event conferences to the 49th session of the Human Rights Council.

The first event, “Escalation of Human Rights Violations in the 21st century: State-Sponsored Forced Organ Harvesting of Living People” will host a panel of witnesses and experts on March 22 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. ET.

This one and half hour event will consist of a series of supporting speeches. There will not be a question and answer session but the organizers will ask the participating audience to save their questions for the second event on the following day. The first event will expose the crimes and consequences of forced organ harvesting and inform and stimulate debate on this issue.

The second event, “Escalation of Human Rights Violations in the 21st century: Finding solutions to help combat crimes against humanity,” will host a live round table discussion followed by a Q&A session on March 23 from 9 to 11:00 a.m. ET.

This two-hour event will be a live, moderated, round table debate with questions and answers from the audience. The intention is to present an expert debate and respond to questions from the audience.
