This incident comes amid recent crackdowns of Chinese nationals attempting to smuggle harmful substances into the country. Chinese officials advise travelers heading to the U.S. to stay alert and handle any questioning coming. The warning comes as tensions remain high ahead of President Trump's planned trip to China next month. The trip had already been delayed amid ongoing concerns over the Iran war.
