As an intensive-care doctor, Roger Seheult battled COVID-19 at the front lines of the pandemic, where he saw the power of sunlight and other natural means to restore patients’ health.

On “Vital Signs with Brendon Fallon,” he offers scientific proof that green spaces, tree phytoncides, sauna, and hydrotherapy fight infection.

“Anything that can even artificially increase the body temperature is going to shut down viral replication, maybe not 100 percent, but certainly reduce it significantly,” says Seheult.

How might children’s ability to mount high fevers have protected them against the coronavirus?

How can raising the body’s temperature boost the immune system and fight off illness?

“When I start feeling like I’m coming down with something; if I start to feel a little itchiness in the back of my throat, if I start to feel some chills … the first place I go is to a sauna.”

Seheult is currently an active critical care physician, pulmonologist, and sleep physician in his practice in California.

He is co-founder of MedCram, which has garnered more than 1.5 million YouTube followers through demystifying medical concepts.
