Steve Ispas is an investigative journalist with The Epoch Times and the host of Epoch TV’s “Bay Area Innovators” program. Steve grew up in Eastern Europe, and lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for 35 years. He worked in the tech industry for 15 years at LSI Logic and Rambus, and has been with The Epoch Times in various positions since 2003. His recent coverage includes an in-depth exclusive investigation of the secret Chinese biolab discovered in Reedley, Calif., in 2022.

In today’s episode, we sit down with Craig Sawyer—former Navy SEAL and founder of Veterans for Child Rescue—for a deep conversation about his fight to expose and stop child trafficking in the United States.

Sawyer shares how his time in elite counter-terrorism prepared him for a mission far more personal: rescuing children from covert trafficking networks operating in plain sight.

He recounts the making of Contraland, a documentary made in Arizona, capturing real-life sting operations that led to dozens of arrests and a 100 percent conviction rate.

“These aren’t reenactments—every person we show has been convicted in a court of law.”
