The panel also discussed the rise of the Democrat Socialists of America (DSA), despite the mainstream Democrats not aligning with the DSA’s policies, and the strategy for capturing deep blue districts.

Bussells says there is a real difference between democratic socialism and communism, and the DSA offers the people authenticity and solutions for working-class people. Monroe says that democratic socialism is easy to sell to young people but that it is the regular Democrats' fault if the United States loses the country to socialism.
