Activist's efforts are underway to remove former President Donald Trump from the GOP primary ballot in Virginia. After a district judge dismissed their case, citing a lack of standing, the activists have now appealed to the Richmond Circuit Court, hoping to prove personal harm if President Trump were to appear on the ballot.

As the legal wrangling continues and similar cases are pending in a number of states, the overarching question arises: Will the Supreme Court be compelled to intervene and set a standard for these cases?

NTD spoke to Paul Kamenar, lead counsel at the National Legal and Policy Center. He said that with the Colorado case now before the Supreme Court, a pivotal ruling is likely that would shape the trajectory of similar challenges nationwide.
