Denny Salas, executive vice president of Gotham Government Relations and the co-founder of Gotham Polling & Analytics, and Arizona State Senator Jake Hoffman, and member of the Republican National Committee, joined a panel discussion with NTD's Jack Bradley.

The panel discussed Senate Republicans moving forward with a reconciliation bill to fund U.S. Immigration Enforcement and Customs and Border Protection, in a move toward ending the longest partial government shutdown.

They also discussed Wednesday's gubernatorial debate in California, where candidates were asked to grade Gov. Gavin Newsom on addressing the homelessness crisis in the state.

The panel also discussed gas prices in California, the contrast between Newsom and Republican candidate Steve Hilton on the cause of the price spike, and how the issue will influence voters’ decisions for governor.
