Hundreds of paratroopers from several nations parachuted into a historic D-Day drop zone in Sannerville, Normandy, France, on Wednesday to recreate the allies’ airborne liberation of Normandy 80 years ago.

Hundreds of military personnel from the UK, Canada, Belgium, and the United States jumped from a British Royal Air Force A400M transport plane alongside other allied personnel and historic aircraft. Following the airdrop, the British Army’s Red Devils held a special air display.
