Florida police have officially closed their investigation into the death of professional wrestling icon Hulk Hogan, concluding he died of natural causes, according to a report released Friday by the Clearwater Police Department.
The 72-page report—which reviewed medical records, witness statements, surveillance footage and a physical examination of the body—found no evidence of foul play. "There has been no evidence to indicate the death of Terry Bollea was anything other than natural," the report states. "This case will be closed, and will be considered solved, non-criminal."
Hogan, whose legal name was Terry Bollea, was 71 when he died at his home on July 24, 2025. His wife, Sky Daily Hogan, a home health aide and an occupational therapist, was present when he stopped breathing. Sky Daily Hogan called 911, and all three performed CPR until first responders arrived.
Family members told investigators he had been battling leukemia, an irregular heart rhythm, pneumonia, and kidney failure in the weeks before his death. The local medical examiner ruled the cause of death a heart attack, a finding later confirmed by a private autopsy commissioned by the family.
