President Trump was received by Israeli President Reuven Rivlin on Monday, May 22. The two leaders and their delegations held a bilateral meeting.

The president said his team was working on a peace treaty. He had a hopeful message for the delegations.

“You have a great opportunity right now. There’s a great feeling for peace throughout the Middle East. I think people have just had enough. They’ve had enough of the bloodshed and the killing. And I think you’re going to see things starting to happen,” said Trump.

Trump had just departed from Saudi Arabia, the first stop on his maiden trip. He said the visit was very successful and that there was a “really good feeling toward Israel” in Riyadh.
