Epidemiologists predicted a surge in CCP virus cases in the fall, but it is stronger than some expected, and some states have taken new lockdown measures to slow the spread—like Kentucky and Ohio.
We spoke with Dr. Cass Ingram an osteopathic doctor to learn more about what the case numbers mean.
“You can have contamination of the swab, contamination of the gloves, contamination by the nurse, or the practitioner that way that this is put together. You’re not positive, you’re not symptomatic, but you test positive.”
In the United States, just under 11.5 million people have tested positive for the virus, according to Johns Hopkins University, and around 250,000 have succumbed to the disease.
Dr. Ingram argues that rather than focusing on masks and social distancing we should focus on immune system support.
