Scholars Line Up to Join Anti-Woke School; I Was a Convicted ‘Thought Criminal’: Michael Rectenwald

In China and the Soviet Union, dissidents were disappeared or imprisoned. Here, in our own cultural revolution, people are “losing their jobs, losing positions, losing social standing,” says retired NYU professor Michael Rectenwald. Rectenwald dared to speak out against the cancel culture he saw taking hold at New York University, for which he was attacked and criticized.

Rectenwald is now the chief academic officer of the American Scholars education platform, which is designed to counter this woke, cancel culture that is taking hold in American education.

Hundreds of academics, including big names, have applied to join American Scholars—which is promising American values-based education and “better bang for your buck” than establishment colleges.
