“It’s a meeting with beauty, and beauty always uplifts. Moreover, it is filled with the spiritual values of ancient China, which are still relevant and important for our current life, so this combination is very successful and important even today,” said Viliam Poltikovič, a movie director and cinematographer.
“The stage design and the overall artistic execution was amazing, as well as the combination of what was happening live on stage,” said Zdeněk Uhlíř, the department head of the Prague National Library.
“For me, it was a glimpse into a completely different culture, something I did not expect at all,” said Jan Pithart, a company manager. “It’s truly magnificent. Very meticulously crafted down to the minute, down to the second.”
“It’s absolutely breathtaking, amazing performances, and the film sets integrated into the story, into the movements, are just fantastic,” said Jiří Jalek, a company leader.
“All those values like compassion, the awareness of unity, the interconnectedness of everything, mutual cooperation, empathy, support, these are very important and essential things for society to not collapse. We need some transformation. And these are all [things] that we can build on,” Mr. Poltikovič said. “I’m uplifted and grateful for it. Thank you.”
“I think it’s extremely important to break through the cover laid over by Maoism and communism in China. I've read some Chinese novels, literature from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, for example. And absolutely, it is and would be very desirable to make this known and presented to the world,” Mr. Uhlíř said.
“In today’s fast-paced, technological age, I see the message of ancient times and their wisdom as essential for the further development of humanity, as a reminder of what was truly important in us once, and what we should not forget,” Mr. Jalek said. “Definitely don’t give up on your effort, and keep passing this message on. It’s great.”
