Shen Yun Performing Arts took the stage for 3 performances in Aix-En-Provence, France, on April 12 and 13. Audience members said it left them in awe.

“It’s wonderful. The colors are extraordinary, the choreography is fabulous. It’s a feast for the eyes. It’s brilliant, simply brilliant,” said Serge Canehan, a business owner.

“There was a lot of positive energy, and there were also some moments when I felt like crying,” said Daniela Bernard, a podiatrist.

“I saw the highly artistic aspect of the show and it was truly sublime. The costumes are really, really well done and the choreography, also with the special effects and the performers on stage. It was perfect and really, really well done,” said Siegfried Daniel, an artist.

Traditional Chinese culture finds its roots in spirituality and the divine. Shen Yun showcases those themes through classical Chinese dance, music, and legends.

“I really like the part where people try to be examplerary, try to think of others, of other people’s well-being. I think I’ve understood that and I think it’s part of Chinese spirituality, millennia-old Chinese spirituality,” said Christophe Dalonis, a business owner.

“I also think it’s very important to go back to the origins of nature. With all this over-communication, we’ve unfortunately completely cut ourselves off from the roots of reality. And this show allows people to get back to what’s essential, nature,” said Mr. Daniel.

“It’s essential to refocus on tradition if we are to regain meaning in our contemporary lives,” said Jean Lucien Durand, an investment director.

With eight companies touring the world simultaneously, Shen Yun presents new performances for audiences to enjoy every year.

Marc Samat, a business owner, thinks that Shen Yun’s performances would do the world good if many more people were to see them.

“I think a lot of people should see it, should see this show, should see Shen Yun, because it could bring them to a spiritual level, or even more. Many more things and maybe the world would be a bit better if many, many, many, many more millions of people could see this show.

Jean-Pierre Souza, a city councilor, said Shen Yun’s performance has “touched him deeply.”

“It’s very, very beautiful and very heartwarming. It’s a bit of a family atmosphere, something that’s very endearing and that I really enjoyed.”

“Very pretty, magnificent. It was delicate and it touched me a lot, it’s wonderful,” said Cédric Roll, the head of innovation and strategic delivery & industry relations at HSBC Bank.

“It’s so beautiful and harmonious that it seems to be a gift. We received that message from it and it surrounds us,” said Michèle Baruch, a doctor. “It felt good, all that emotion and it was heavenly.”

Shen Yun’s 2024 world tour will continue through May this year.
