“It's moving. The dances are perfectly matched to the music,” said Ramon Andres, owner of Dansschool Ramon.
Louis Welters, TV director and writer at VRT, was pleasantly surprised by Shen Yun’s 3D backdrop.
“It was incredibly done, that modern technology with the classic. Very original, I enjoyed it,” he said.
“For me, it was also very enriching. Of course, beautiful. As a woman, I also pay a lot of attention to dresses, fabulous and also of course very deep. Very deep with all the folk culture and history before the communism times. It was very interesting to have seen,” said Irina Petrova, a researcher at Ghent University.
“We are indeed always in a rush, always hurry, hurry, hurry. And that's a shame because those old values are very important. And that's something we can learn from this performance,” said Mr. Welters.
“We live in a materialistic world, in which we are influenced by influencers and I don't know what else. So it’s very important to return to God to find Him in us, in our soul. To look inside ourselves, to search,” said Bhairavananda Saraswati, the executive director at Shiva Forum Europe.
Shen Yun has an all-new program every season, including new dances, music, stories, and backdrops. Audience members said they were highly impressed by Shen Yun’s artistry.
“I think it was just beauty and I was enchanted, so mesmerized, very nice feeling,” said Robert Ukropec, an R&D scientist at IMEC.
“It was very inspiring, moving. It brought tears to my eyes. My soul was touched,” said Mr. Saraswati.
“I always tell this to others, and I'll mention it to my instructors too, that [Shen Yun] is something you must experience at least once. I have to say it's unique, nothing else like it exists. And that's the truth, isn't it? Nothing else like it exists. I say you definitely need to witness it for yourself,” said Mr. Andres.
