“To be honest with you I wasn’t very familiar with, I mean I know that the modern Chinese, a lot of them are Buddhist, but I didn’t know much about their belief until now. So I think I was quite educated by the show as well,” said Father Callos, a priest with the Holy Family Catholic Church. “It’s very athletic I have to say, and the amount of training that those dancers must have gone through I think it’s just really incredible, very impressive.”
“There was a spiritual content to this, which I wasn’t expecting—kind of biblical in the end, with sort of the Divine coming in,” said Natalie Sillato, a secretary for the Holy Family Catholic Church.
“We may be diverse in our faith, we might be diverse in terms of our nationality and how we look, but there’s a lot of commonalities there—like family, like love and friendship, and that sort of thing. I think it was very evident in the show,” said Father Callos. “Well done, well done. And thank you for sharing this amazing show and showing it to the world. And as I said earlier there’s a lot of work that has been done behind the scenes, and I just want to thank the artistic director who’s done a fantastic job.”
