“I can say, incredibly beautiful. They are so skilled that it looks as if it’s easy,” Fie Smith, a Hørsholm City Council Member, said. “It is very beautiful, the various effects that are used. So very, very beautiful.”
“All these beautiful pastel colors and the way you interact with the space and the [digital backdrop] in the back. It’s made in an absolutely fantastic, sublime way, I must say. Fantastic show,” Vallensbæk City Council Member Kenneth Kristensen Berth said.
“I think it’s very important to bring traditional Chinese culture to a wider circle, because the impression one has of China today is an impression that the People's Republic of China has more or less defined, and it’s really wonderful to see that there is an alternative to this,” Mr. Berth said. “A life-affirming alternative, I think, and that’s also why it’s really wonderful to see a performance like the one we are witnessing today.”
Ms. Smith said, “That idea of looking a bit further back in time back, to our roots, or having it with you in your approach to culture, it is truly impressive. Such a strong cultural foundation the Chinese have.”
“In the special situation they find themselves in, and the oppression that we are witnessing, I think it’s wonderful that they stand firm and show us the fantastic riches that Chinese culture also contains,” Ms. Berth added. “And doing it under the completely inhuman pressure they are exposed to here, I think that makes it even more credible. It’s so beautiful, and I’m happy to be a witness to it today.”
Josef Frischer, a psychologist, said, “It's very uplifting. It made me happy, it's very good dancing and moving. It makes me feel moved inside, makes me younger.”
