Shen Yun Performing Arts concluded its Italy tour with a final sold-out performance in Rome on the evening of March 19. All 13,000 tickets for the performances in Rome were sold out three months in advance, and a total of 64,000 tickets across Italy sold out ahead of schedule.

“I’ve never seen such incredible skill, all these colors, all this millennia-old history that truly accompanied us throughout the entire evening, and there wasn’t a single moment when we were bored or when the show lost its momentum. It was truly fantastic,” said Yuri Ceresara, an electrical designer.

Giuseppe Grasso, an administrative accounting director at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, said, “The transition from the video to the dance every time is very moving. There are also the beautiful colors, the music, the costumes. The colors are what strike you the most, in my opinion, besides the stories themselves.”

“Exceptional. It’s truly an experience I’ve been chasing for many years. I’ve never managed to get a ticket. This time, I’m absolutely thrilled to have brought my whole family. This experience is truly unique and one of a kind. They’re truly exceptional,” said Giacomo Cellucci, a choir conductor.

Shen Yun’s mission is to revive 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture from before communism, through classical Chinese dance and music. A culture that the Chinese regime has been seeking to destroy since taking power in 1949.

Mr. Ceresara said, “I’ve been to China many times. I’ve been traveling there for work for about 23 years now, and I’m seeing a situation that’s different from what this show is trying to portray, which is actually the true story of China.”

“I think it’s brilliant to carry on the traditions of a country that, unfortunately, had to be abandoned, and doing it in such a joyful, cheerful, and beautiful way is definitely the best way,” said Maria Rosaria Marino, the Analysis Department Head at the Parliamentary Budget Office.

“In today’s society, it teaches us that we have forgotten what kindness is, kindness not only in our manners, but also kindness of spirit, which can lead to a better life for everyone and greater harmony in our daily lives,” said Silvia Bolognini, a senior public administration official.

Audiences praised Shen Yun’s singer for a flawless performance, and said the lyrics were truly memorable.

Mr. Cellucci said, “She was truly excellent, her high notes were so clear, really exceptional. She also managed to truly convey what the words expressed, just as we read them. So she was very expressive, as well as technically excellent.”

Ms. Marino said “That’s also a great lesson, the message [in the lyrics], those touching words that we should keep in mind every day, and yet we often forget them. The music, the dancing, and the interaction between the screen and the characters are truly exciting. It’s really well done, I highly recommend it.”

Shen Yun will perform in Lyon, France, from April 6 to April 12.
