Shen Yun Performing Arts opened a four-day run of five sold-out performances in Lodz, Poland, on Jan. 9. Shen Yun’s mission is to revive China’s 5,000-year-old culture from before communism, through classical Chinese dance and music. Audience members said they felt Shen Yun was conveying messages of love and kindness, which they described as highly important in today’s world.

Marcin Slomski, a law firm founder, said, “This performance was not just an ordinary dance. It carried a message of goodness, kindness, and love. Let us hope that, if this continues to be presented, viewers will reflect on their own behavior and stop chasing money and power in pursuit of things that can be lost.”

“By guiding your life with goodness, this goodness will surely return to us. This goodness will surely overcome the evil that unfortunately surrounds us. And I think that through this message that you have shared with us here, all the people who were at this show will leave this performance in a better place,” said Maciej Borkiewicz, an entrepreneur.

Shen Yun’s patented digital backdrop seamlessly integrates digital and live stage performances, leaving audiences in awe.

Anna Tomczyk, a company CEO, said, “What really surprised me was the combination of dance with modern technology. It is presented here in a very interesting way.

“There were many moments that surprised us, and we truly did not expect such scenes on stage. It is really something fascinating.”

Michal Kijewski, a business owner, said, “The performance, the dance, the connection between the real people and the animation behind—I was shocked. It was like a 3D movie in the cinema, something like that. It was really, really great.”

Audience members said they were particularly impressed by the erhu performance in Shen Yun’s production, praising the solo for its lyrical, expressive quality.

“I was surprised that such skill is possible on such an instrument, similar to playing the violin,” Mr. Slomski said.

“I really liked it, because I also like the sound of this instrument. When I hear it in films, it is soothing and pleasant.”

Shen Yun will be performing in Lublin until Jan. 18.
