Shen Yun Performing Arts graced the stage in Paris, France, from Feb. 29 to March 2. Audience members said they were mesmerized by the performance company’s artistry.

“It’s breathtaking. It’s magnificent in terms of sound, in terms of colors, and in terms of the story conveyed by the spectacle of China’s multi-millennial history. We’re learning a lot of things while having great fun,” said Bachir Daoudi, the owner of a hotel.

“Sublime, truly sublime. It’s very airy, lots of accessories that reinforce the aesthetic. The colors, the harmony of the colors, everything is magnificent,” said painter Dominique Verderi.

“They are truly sensational and they are top-notch on an artistic level. They have great flexibility, are very athletic and very beautiful and very elegant,” said Christian Thomas, a doctor.

Shen Yun travels the globe with a mission: to revive 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture from before Communism. Ancient Chinese people believed their culture was inspired by the divine.

“It’s the religious side that really touched me. I find that these are the roots which nourish our souls, and give me this energy that circulates throughout my body,” said Kateryna Jampy, an aromatherapist.

“It’s the roots, after all. The ancestors of all cultures built their roots on the Divine, on the relationship with the Divine, on this link between Heaven and Earth,” said Ms. Verderi.

Mr. Daoudi says Shen Yun’s performance gives him hope.

“To continue to maintain hope, protect hope, stay positive, and be full of joy for life like people in ancient Chinese society. These values are currently being lost, unfortunately. But thanks to this show, we can move forward and continue to hope.”

Some audience members also pointed to Shen Yun’s inner message.

“I hope this brings a little more wisdom, responsibility, and love,” said Philippe Gayet, the vice president of Archipel Santé.

“A fairyland of colors, an artistic fairyland. A fairyland of grace and it’s impressive, it’s really worth seeing,” said Pascal Grincajgier, an aircraft captain at HOP! Air France.

“The artistic level is excellent. Whether it’s the dancing or the display of strength, I think it’s all exceptional,” said Cyrille Lantrin, a company director.

Shen Yun will next perform in Toulon, France, from March 27 to 29.
