Shen Yun Performing Arts received a warm welcome from enthusiastic audience members in Mexico City, Mexico, on May 3.

“It’s an experience I’ll remember for the rest of my life. It was very inspiring, I think I’ll keep that feeling with me,” said Victor Roberto Ortíz Flores, a digital advertising manager. “The integration of technology and high-quality screens gives you a sense of immersion. I think it’s a unique show in that sense. I’ve never seen anything like it in my experience.”

The company’s artists tell 5,000 years of stories from ancient China through classical Chinese dance, music, and an animated digital backdrop.

“I was fascinated by the costumes, by the artistry, and by the way they danced. There are things that make you think that they’re not human beings, that they’re from another world. I feel that seeing their versatility and skill is unparalleled,” said Raquel Besudo, a television show host.

“I really found it to be an extraordinary experience. It connects you with internal feelings from the theme of creation, and it makes you reflect on many things,” said Luis Alfonso Rodriguez Tovar, a coordinator at a media company.

Shen Yun’s mission is to revive China’s 5,000 years of civilization and values, a culture believed to be inspired by the Divine. Since the Communist Party took power in China in 1949, the regime has sought to break Chinese society’s belief in the Divine. Theatergoers were deeply moved by this mission and felt that these values remain important in today’s society as well.
Shen Yun is a world-class performance and I invite everyone to come see it, because it truly conveys the values we need in the world," said Carlos Humberto Perez Velasco, an attorney.

"We’re going through quite complicated times, with a lot of violence in the world and in our country, and it’s important for young people to be exposed to culture because culture teaches us that we should avoid bad behavior and instead learn a new culture,” he said.

“I think it’s something that has been forgotten in these generations, where the intangible, the technological aspects, have made us forget that we have ancestors, that there is culture, that there is tradition, and above all, that there is spirituality, which is something that is transmitted and that is lacking in the world, and currently in many countries," said Fernando Breton Mora Pineda, a political advisor. "There are regimes that unfortunately tend to crush that, they tend to crush the feelings, the values of human beings,” he said.

“[The performance] brings together many universal values that can be applied to any culture. It’s truly a highly recommended, very beautiful experience,” said Mr. Tovar.

Shen Yun has successfully concluded their 2025 world tour on May 11, and will bring an all-new program next season for audiences to enjoy.
