Shen Yun Performing Arts returned to The Hague, Netherlands, on Feb. 18 and 19, taking audience members on a journey through ancient China. Audience members were dazzled and delighted by the artistry.

“This is truly a breathtaking experience that you just have to experience once and let it happen to you,” said Erik van Eeden, a business owner.

“It was precisely the variety that made it so complete. Sometimes it was just beautiful, sometimes it was really dazzling, and sometimes it was purely humorous.”

“Truly impressive, especially the combination of the beautiful dances and the digital screens, where they jump in and out. I had never seen anything like that before, so that was wonderful. And all those different dances were also very impressive,” said Jeroen van Acht, a business owner.

“I think it’s nice that they first tell the story a bit, so you have an idea of what to expect and what you can follow. And besides that, the dance is very beautiful,” said Ton Spruit, an accountant.

Shen Yun is the world’s premier classical Chinese dance company, with a mission to revive 5,000 years of Chinese civilization from before communism. Audience members deeply appreciated this effort and the values presented on stage.

“I thought it was a fantastic show with 5,000 years of Chinese culture. And people usually confuse it with communism, but this is real culture and I think that for many people as well, who are not so intertwined, who do not know much about world history, they see a different China,” said Sradhanand Sital, the chairperson of Global Human Rights Defence.

“Faith, I thought that was beautiful. Holding on to the truthfulness, in this case. A very deep faith,” said Roland Smit, a managing partner.

“I think it's worth it, you really have to see it at least once. Because I find it quite special, this is truly something special,” said Agnes Lemmens, a business owner.

Shen Yun will be performing in Amsterdam, Netherlands, from Feb. 21 through 23.
